Story (bump stocks now illegal)

Good news, everyone: CA’s 10-round magazine limit has been ruled unconstitutional by a federal judge.
Worth a read for those interested in court stuff.

    Just bought a full-auto Mini-Uzi BB gun.
Scratches the itch, and the ammo’s cheap.
Runs on CO2, so there’s that, too.

^Those look like fun. I’d like to get one.
Bump stock not so much. They looked like fairly useless, tacticool toys to me.
Not that they should be illegal. That’s ignorant, ‘Something must be done! This is something, let’s do this!’ silliness.

    Don’t forget about thumbs.
Of course, the Dims will have to get theirs out of their rectum (Wrecked ‘em? I moided ‘em!) to remember what they are. I think that gives us some cushion.

Bump stock ban only works if people comply. I do not own one, so I have not gone through the process of purchasing one. Those of you who did, did you have to register it? Fill out any federal or state paperwork? Apply for a license or permit to own one?

The Feds can rant and bluster all they want, but if no one complies, what can they do? Unless they actually find you in possession of one, this new law, like most so-called “gun control” legislation, is useless.

On the CA magazine ruling: go read about it at Reason / Voloch Conspiracy. I’ve read 4 news stories about it this morning, and every one of them is Samizdat and insufficient.

The actual news is that the latest ruling makes a permanent injunction, replacing the previous temporary one. So CAs law is now dead. It’s only minor, older news that the 9th Circuit agreed with the judge the first time, shooting down the appeal.

Let the hoplophobes appeal this all the way to the Supremes. When they agree with judge Benetiz and the 9th Circuit, they can then incorporate this ruling nationally, striking down every magazine capacity ban in the country.

Those boating accident losses were worse than they thought – 11 million 80% rifles were tossed overboard to lighten the boats before the approaching storms.

“Hellfire Trigger”?? Wasn’t that the item that got David Koresh so much unwanted attention?

And the CA Attorney General is said to “be weighing his options.” I think it’s hilarious that the judge quoted heavily from Heller v. DC in rendering his decision. And we only got the ruling in Heller because DC Mayor Adrian Fenty wouldn’t take “You Lost” for a decision…
