Earth Day

A day when we are reminded
what the biggest threat is

(re-post from 2011)
It’s okay to be a modern Human and
to enjoy the benefits of Human effort and
genius in the advancement of technology.
Just don’t be a jackass about it.

Be prepared for the worst* properties and acts of Nature.
Keep in mind that it doesn’t care who you think you are,
and it’s trying to kill you 24/7.

Okay, okay, for all you insufferable optimists out there,
there is some good news
(i.e. bad news if you’re an AGW cultist).
* I put Gravity as my #1
(see also: sudden changes of inertia)

Hey, gravity is good. It keeps us from flying off this big rock as it rotates and orbits the Sun. What I fear are our politicians: Chiquita Khrushchev (AOC), Eric Swallowswell, Nasty Pelosi, Mad Maxine Waters, and that large sack of lipids who’s the governor of my state (Illinois) – J.B. Prickster. Nature doesn’t care what or how we think of Her; it’s our so-called “betters” who’ll do us in if we let them.

From the link – One of the first lessons I learned in economics is that nobody washes a rental car — because you don’t care for what you don’t own.

Alls I know is that we all died about 15 Earth Days ago so why worry? We’re all already dead.
At least I’m in the hell where Donald effin Trump is POTUS and not the one where Hillary Clinton is.

Nature is wonderful and all, but the main reason for civilization is to get us as far away from nature as possible.
