Bonus ProgThpeak of Teh Day

say wha???

The set-up is …complex. Nice to see some pushback on the part of the sane people. But if the girl was prevented from leaving the girls’ room by a pile of boys…

But that is its own discussion [and have at it].

What struck me is this statement:

“We do not advocate physical or psychological violence as a means to attain safety,”

Let it settle in and tell me whereinhell we’re goin’?

Self-defense (she felt threatened by multiple males?).
Cultural standard enforced (in absence of staff hall monitor?).
    Point made (free speech?).
No fatalities (simple trespass does not justify deadly force).

I want her playin’ on my team.

(What? Uhm, no idea if a swirlie counts as use of force.)

How can someone say something that stupid?
I mean, and not correct herself right away.

Seems like pretty simple self-defense. School is making a mountain out of a mole hill. If the guys had simply opened the door a bit and announced their intentions the would have probably left no harm, no foul. Rushing the door was a bad idea. The boys should apologies to her and she should be re-instated.
