“Hate speech is no longer considered part of freedom of speech, it’s now on the same level as terrorism.”

Yet, can they actually define this “hate speech?”

Will they?

France’s parliament, where Macron’s ruling party has a comfortable majority, is debating legislation that would give the new regulator the power to fine tech companies up to 4% of their global revenue if they don’t do enough to remove hateful content from their network.

Still awaiting a definition…

The discussions on how to best regulate tech giants began with a Zuckerberg-Macron meeting last year, followed by a report on tech regulation last month that Facebook’s founder considered could be a blueprint for wider EU regulation.

“Facebook’s founder” is creating a “blueprint for EU regulation?” Gotta hate that…

BRB; doorbell…

“The decision…meetings between Zuckerberg and Macron, who wants to take a leading role globally on the regulation of hate speech and the spread of false information online”.
Well, well. Looks like most of the MSM will be fined, imprisoned or put out of business.
That’s a good thing in the world of unintended consequences…but…. you say it only applies to conservative commentary?
    Crap. I had hopes.

Too bad France got rid of the guillotine. Oh well – there’s still hanging, stoning, beating with blunt objects, and the firing squad that des gilets jaunes can use to dispose of these 21st century Jacobins.

I don’t see FZuckerberg as Data, the earnest and considerate android from “Star Trek – the Next Generation”. He’s more like the Borg Queen with some of the worst personality traits of Wil Wheaton (the actual Wil Wheaton – he’s a smug “SJW” type).
