Nothing to see here…

…just law-breaking treachery

For those who don’t like the word “treachery”

ICE missed an opportunity for a roundup if for nothing else, . destruction of property and vandalism (flags), and I’ll betcha there were “some” illegal invaders in the crowd as well. “Peaceful protest” my eye.

I just read an interesting opinion about this sort of thing: Spicy Times [#6 - #7].

    ^ Claire, that was interesting.
I submit that the core of that, the worm gear that drives the engine of his progression from peace to civil war is “diversity” advocacy.
He noted that where homogeneous groups live together, civil war is unlikely.
Our Left is pushing just the opposite in their drive to rule.
Divide and conquer has been around as a political tool since the Roman Empire, and “diversity” has as its root the Latin “dividere” – to divide.
The cannon fodder of the Left gets warm and fuzzy feelings about “come together, right now” in diversity, but the evil schemers driving this movement know damn well they’ll say “to hell with diversity” and purge the useful idiots once they have power.
Diversity for diversity’s sake and its partner in crime, Political Correctness, which forbids naming the enemy or condemning their diversity shibboleth, must go away if we are to survive as a nation of laws and freedom.

He too-lightly covers state (gov’t) power, federal, state, and local in the form of armed police. The flexible and separable power of local armed police and state-commanded National Guard forces is the key to dealing with local uprisings. The US military would apply only if things went seriously TU; and then it would likely split apart itself, as it did in CW-1.

Nah, CW-2 will probably look like Chicago/Somalia/Mafia: continual terrorism and murder.
See: yesterday’s armed attack on an ICE facility.
I can see a small unit shooting-up an ANTIFA attack

By the way, going to the mountains/hills/wilderness sucks as a fighting strategy. That’s where you went to hide back in the days before IR sensors. You still have to come down to fight. Now, it’s where you go to die or to evade capture for a week longer than staying home while being robbed, killed, and raped by guys who also headed for the hills but forgot to bring lunch and a date.

In my mind, it’s nearly certain that we won’t have a stand-up, CW-1 type fight with actual armies. Your analogy about Chicago/Somalia is probably a start – at least for some areas.

The hills is a statistical correlation from past civil wars in other countries.

^^Doug, what’s disconcerting is how many people have accepted that CWII is pretty much inevitable.

My opinion is that once PDT is out of office, things will go sideways.

My wife and I hope to be safely out of the way by the time things kick off. (we live in a major urban area and don’t plan to stick around any longer than we have to)

Hmm. Perhaps a use for the C-130Us being taken out of active combat service.

One of the comments I read over at Instapundit
suggested putting in a paintball/pepperball launcher on the U-models, supplementing the main armaments.

That *would* be entertaining even if not generally effective for breaking up these antifa-type mobs.

It’s come a ways since those videos.
