Monday Ps fun

Moved a couple of Sunday ones up here,
since I actually did ‘em after midnight my time;
and they were gun-related

I’m thinking the politicians are crazy enough to think there are people crazy enough to try to confiscate the guns.

Remember way back when, when O’Bummer said as to how he wanted a “civilian army, as big as the real army” to ensure “justice” in America?

This is what he had in mind. An army of mindless, unthinking, do-gooders who would do things like trying to round up scary guns from the citizens and 2nd Amendmenters. They would go knock on doors, demand compliance, and get run off or ventilated, and then Phase II would begin: Unrelenting Press Outrage. Day after day, story after story, about how gun owners are “out of control,” “lawless,” and “rebellious.” Then will come Phase III: the demands for martial law and sending in the real army to bring these Rebels under control (meaning: to disarm America without all that crap about changing the Constitution or repealing the Second Amendment.)

Buy more guns! More important, buy more ammunition for the guns you already have! Common long guns and pistols can look pretty scary when the bad guys come to your door.

MikeAZ, then there’s Phase IV, where gun owners show the rest of America what “out of control,” “lawless,” and “rebellious” really looks like.

And a thumbs-up about ammo; the only time you have too much is when you’re trying to swim with it or your house is on fire.

    Jess 1^
I don’t think they’ll send warm bodies to front doors.
They’ll use computers and databases (e.g. the IRS or somesuch)
They’ll send you a letter notifying you that your gun is being bought, and they’ll put $X into your bank account or a tax-credit “lockbox” or something.
If you don’t deliver “their property” within X days, you’ll be a thief; and a warrant will be issued.
Then your name will be added to the no-benefits list: no driver’s license, no passport, no gov’t benefits, no credit, no internet, no phone, no mail, etc. Soon, you’ll have a wants-&-warrants list a mile long, and you’re pay/assets will be frozen.

Eventually, they’ll issue letters of marque and reprisal to independent contractors to do the bounty hunting (not really, I just wanted to use LM&R).
Only when all else fails will they release uniformed gun-hunters.

I doubt if they’ll ever use gangs of “civilian” thugs to hunt-down guns, because they’ll lose track of those guns, and they’ll have gangs of well-armed thugs with no real loyalty to the anti-gun authorities and outside their discipline.

But, oh, my gawrsh… just imagine how corrupt every level of government will get as this progresses

As hard as it may be for gun-owners to believe, there are many citizens who do not own guns and are for the Bill of Rights –including the second amendment– and do not want to see them eviscerated by anyone. I wonder if it really got as bad as DougM says if there would not be safe houses for those guns that the government would not know about.

^ I don’t ask, but folks who’ve said they’re non-gun folks usually have children around and don’t want guns around. I never argue with ‘em. None of my business.

    Not sure about safe houses.
Reckon the feds already thought of that.
Good way to get somebody else in trouble.
