NASCAR cancels itself

Remember, ‘wokes’ pester you, ‘customers’ pay you

NASCAR, Chicago, Democrat politicians, desecration of statues, autonomous zones, BLM, pro or college sports (any; buncha damn prima donnas,) alphabet networks and their minions, viruses, lock-downs, masks, whiny-baby MLB owners and players, BLOODY HELL!, the list is endless.

My prayer each morning is simple: God, deliver me from fools and idiots. He doesn’t seem to be listening at the moment.

it seems very strange to me that the entertainment industry (including sports) seems to think that they can insult a very large part of their fan base and keep them as fans. i anticipate a large drop off in attendees at live games and theaters with a lesser, but noticeable, drop in streaming audiences. it will be blamed on Trump and the virus.

people patronize the entertainment industry to be entertained, not berated. well, at least in my opinion they do.

I don’t think these were entirely business decisions.
Management has to live daily with spouses filled with propaganda from their peers and kids repeating what their teachers and other stupid kids say. They want to be loved, or at least not yelled-at and dissed by their families and mistresses

It will be interesting to see how this goes. Corporations never do anything out of the goodness of their hearts, even if sometimes they can be enticed to sell the means of their own destruction.

As we’ve found here on the left, ideological boycotts rarely work unless the idea is embedded in the product on offer. So, say, a movie that is especially racist or a movie that conspicuously avoids including a comforting amount of racism will lose traction with the opposing constituency. Not so much fried chicken, razor blades, tea, dates. I suspect the same might be true for football and race cars; people who aren’t already very politically-minded simply will not care and the inherent excitement of the product will win out.

And hey, NASCAR could always play up its bootlegger origins and recast them into an anti-police image.

    Now that there’s funny!
    I may steal that

    As far a business, yeah.
It’s not so much any ideology thing with NASCAR as it is forgetting what they’re selling and to whom.

We’ll make up our own dang minds! Now leave us grownups alone
