No charges, but took their gun? Why, so the rioters will be able to burn their house down the next time they show up?
Bill of Attainder. Definition: A legislative act that singles out an individual or group for punishment without a trial. The Constitution of the United States, Article I, Section 9, paragraph 3 provides that: “No Bill of Attainder or ex post facto Law will be passed”

I can’t read the BM mural article cuz they want me to turn off ad block, but the headline seems to be that BM murals are being “defaced”, as though that is a heinous crime. Bad times a comin’.

PS: Read Kurt Schlicter’s books, starting with “Indian Country”. As Kurt says of these formerly fictitious works “now available in the non-fiction section.”

Interesting little extract from the Missouri Constitution:

Missouri Constitution, Art. 1 Section 23:

“That the right of every citizen to keep and bear arms, ammunition, and accessories typical to the normal function of such arms, in defense of his home, person, family and property, or when lawfully summoned in aid of the civil power, shall not be questioned.

The rights guaranteed by this section shall be unalienable. Any restriction on these rights shall be subject to strict scrutiny and the state of Missouri shall be obligated to uphold these rights and shall under no circumstances decline to protect against their infringement.”

Looks like the law isn’t on the Prosecutor’s side, but then “the processs is the punishment.”

Notice that they were not arrested, just had the rifle confiscated.
There are laws around allowing confiscation of firearms for various threats, sanity, or domestic situations.
    Dunno if that’s what they used, but that’s clearly inappropriate, here;
but the DA’s a Soros thrall.
MO’s constitution looks like a good foundation for him.
    Guy’s a lawyer, so I expect a good dust-up.
I hope he gets to shove this right up their Sorosian butts.

Yeah, disarmed in the face of angry mob, now.
    My initial thought, exactly

They can only confiscate the guns they know about or can find.
    Just sayin’…

Also, if they take your firearms:
    Modern air-rifles pack a pretty-good wallop, although single-shot.
