  1. He already changed his name and no doubt inspired “Beto” O’Rourke; so surely he can change his gender and be part of the in crowd nowadays.

  2. Sugar cane and rice are fine. Just don’t make them pick cotton. Wouldn’t want to make that slavey association.

[ yes, I know that more slaves in the New World cut cane and worked in the rice paddies than picked cotton. But I bet most younger folks don't know this. ]

  5. ^2., Drew458: I think Commissar Bill will probably put the elementary and middle school kids to work clearing vacant lots of trash, feces, and used syringes so that they can convert these lots into municipal vegetable gardens. The high school kids and city college students will be put to work filling potholes and repairing the subways (sorta like when the USSR gathered “volunteers” to build the White Sea – Baltic Canal in the early 1930′s).

  6. Some wise kids will probably make a (financial) killing by surreptitiously selling chicken legs, hot wings, breakfast sausages and sausage patties at school on Mondays (some see problems – others see opportunity).

  8. My pet theory is that the NYC school system can’t afford meat five days a week anymore. (Did Mayor Bill’s wife administer that fund too?)
