  1. When the electricity goes off,
people compensate by lighting lanterns, candles, and fireplaces.
    You know, flamey things.

    [raises hand]
    Ma’am? What’s the use of wind-generated power,
if you have turn-off the power when it’s windy?
    [ducks thrown eraser]
    I think that deserves a front-page cartoon.
    Hold on, brb

  2. So basically, most of California’s going to be shut down.

This week’s Northern California power outage could include the following counties: Alameda, Alpine, Amador, Butte, Calaveras, Colusa, Contra Costa, El Dorado, Glenn, Lake, Mariposa, Mendocino, Napa, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, San Joaquin, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Shasta, Sierra, Solano, Sonoma, Stanislaus, Tehama, Tuolumne, Yolo and Yuba. In Southern California, a possible outage could primarily affect utility customers in Los Angeles, San Bernardino and Riverside counties. Also under consideration are areas in Ventura County and portions of Kern, Tulare, Inyo and Mono counties.

  9. Hey Claire,
How are your migration plans coming along?
Can’t see ‘em in the dark? Oh….. sorry.
I really am sorry for all the crap that you and the rest of the decent, sane people in Haitifornia have to put up with.
Day after day, the madness gathers speed like a giant turd rolling down the mountain. Unbelievable!
