  1. I can see a whole bunch of counties going, “Hmm, not a bad idea!”

Since I do not have a heart of stone, I would laugh long and hard if VA turned into a state the size of NH while West VA became the size of CA.

  2. I’d stay Virginia, just make a new state with NoVa, Dc and parts of MD, maybe including Baltimore. Call it Stalinfornia or “Extra Taxation with Unresponsive Representation’

  3. Now this is really clever. (A hell of a lot better idea than that pending cluster the good guys are setting themselves up for on the 20th.)

If this takes off, poor little Richmond is gonna end up reeeeeally isolated, no? Kinda like Berlin in early April ’45…

  4. ^^Veeshir, I’ve done some reading on the subject and it’s easier to become part of another state. Relatively speaking.

Being a CA denizen, one becomes attuned to such things.

  5. Hmmmm – along with land and populace, Virginia would also lose a number of electoral college votes.

  6. Question: If all of a sudden your state only has 3 counties left in it are you still called “Governor” ?

Oh and is there some sort of statute of limitations for “hey guys! I was just kidding about that gun thing! C’mon now!”
