Juan Williams has a lot of guts getting in front of a white audience that’s conservative white in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and asking a question
Why? Why did that take a lot of guts? Was someone going to charge the stage and beat him up? Was a group of people in the audience going to stand up and shout him down so that he couldn’t be heard?
No. Of course not. The very reason Chris Matthews said that asking that question took a lot of guts was in actual fact the reason it DIDN’T take a lot of guts. That kind of thing only happens – and is only allowed to happen by the authorities – when the crowd is left-wing and the speaker is right-wing. A conservative crowd is going to respect your rights and everyone knows that. Asking those questions in that venue took no guts at all.
MITCHELL: The Justice Department says minorities are 20% less likely to have a drivers licence.
MATTHEWS: It’s called voter suppression
Apparently it’s called “Left-wing people think that minorities who don’t have a drivers’ license – because they don’t own a car and thus don’t need one – are too stupid or disorganized to go out and get an ID now that they have an actual reason to do so.”
