“… …To be eligible for travel, service personnel must complete relevant ethics training.”
Politicians (like Wiener, W.Clinton, most of the Kennedys, among others) are of course exempt from this “training” (euphemism for “PC brainwashing”).
One radio commentator noted that as these Secret Service guys are traditionally supposed to “take a bullet for the President”, he sees no problem in letting them “blow off a little steam” now and again.
We might expect that the Secret Service may just not be the plum in one’s career arc that it used to be.
(I hesitated to use the abbreviation “SS” because of certain unpleasant comparisons to another country’s “SS” during the last World War.
Excellent historical analogy, Claire.
Seianus (aka Sejanus, head of Tiberius’ Praetorian Guard) is one of my favorite villains from “I Claudius,” which had a lot of really, really good villains.
I highly recommend that BBC series or the books, “I Claudius” + “Claudius the God”.

Ethics training?
Thought that was the parents’ job.
Modern “Ethics Training” = Don’t do this or you’ll be punished = Don’t get caught doing this or you’ll be punished.

Classes to be taught by Maxine Waters, Tim Geithner, Charles Rangel, and Bill ‘Cold-cash‘ Jefferson.
