  1. These people are the direct product of the hypocrisy of their ancestors.
    For decades they have spewed forth bile towards religion, claiming that evolution is the only way in which life came into existence. That change was brought through survival of the fittest. Yet for centuries, they’ve been pushing harder and harder to protect those that should have been left to rot in the cold.
    And here we are today. Brainless babbling idiots espousing as fact that which is fiction, and accusing the truth of being fallacy.

    Compassion, pity, and mercy are the achiles heel of the human race, and while they each have their place in our world, they have been used beyond their limits and without regard to consequences. They will be our end.

  2. I wish we could contain them all on that piece of dirt, forcing them to put their lives where their big bratty mouths are, and live off the land.
    I would enjoy watching the last of them starve.
    Plowing them under would at least make a real contribution to the earth.

    I gotta disagree with your cause and effect.
    It has nothing to do with religion.
    I think it’s due to the almost two centuries of mechanized civilization which have allowed even the reality-detached to thrive and reproduce.
    Sure, this has also occurred in various eras throughout history, but it was pretty much limited to the aristocracy and the slave-owners.
    Now, even the commoners have machines and energy and organization that make routine survival independent of knowledge.
    Jackassery, foolishness, ignorance, and delusion are no longer strongly selected against; but I have the feeling that Darwin’s interpretation of nature is still at work. Civilization has existed but a tick of the evolutionary clock. It’s way too soon to tell.

  15. Uh: Doug (6), on second reading, I think Caged’s point had nothing to do with religion. I think the point was that these dedicated Darwinists have been flying in the face of eveloution by promoting survival of the un-fittest, and now we have the result.

    geezerette (4): ha-ha, clever wording, but the problem is they have had sons, and they do look like that.

    Puzzled observation: although the left is unable to tell a left boot from a right, and is usually all enamored with the moral equivalency of everything, there seems to be one exception. They definitely don’t think there’s a moral equivalency between the left and the right.

    Actually, I’m inclined to agree with them on that one, though my conclusions are a bit different.

    hmmm…. so the left thinks we should ban kids in our country from working on their family’s farm, but idolizes a totalitarian regime that drags children off to work on communal ones. Got to give them credit for flexible thinking.

  18. And finally on the post itself:

    a) I think this is great! The university gets to see the result of the “liberal arts” education it, and places like it, have been providing. Probably too much to expect them to make the connection, of course, but you never can tell.

    b) Notice that *none* of the workshops on the bulletin board have anything to do with actually farming? Lots of festivals though.

    c) At the wrong site for the grocery store? The whole thing self contradictory and senseless? It is the nature of mobs to be stupid. Why should trust fund empowered ones be any different?

    d) what the fuck is “Pesistance” anyway? Was that maybe “Resistance” with a crease? If so, the only way to actually get fertility there would be composting the “resistance.” Well, except if this is like Occupy elsewhere, there’s probably lots of human feces and garbage lying around to act as fertilizer.

  20. There is no such thing as overposting. “Overpostulating” is an entire ‘nother thing. Don’t worry about that, though, because somebody will ‘gently’ correct you if you do that here (I might be an exception to the ‘gently’ part).
