- LA has just been subjected to the liberal version of Shock & Awe.
- The carbon footprint alone on this event must have been awesome.
- The Great One, the very incarnation of all those liberal LA sensibilities, has come to visit. (Although not visit just anyone, of course.)
The disruption for a few hours of the hectic lives of ordinary citizens is a small price to pay so that their betters can have a good time. It is tough being part of that rich 1% elite; and they deserve to kick back and schmooze a bit.
Lopez is unreasonable. There’s no reason big-dollar liberals should pony up to pay for public libraries and parks. As Warren Buffett (whom I am personally very tired of hearing from) has repeatedly indicated, rich people should talk about doing more. They themselves don’t read, and they already have front lawns for parks. There’s no reason they should be paying to support the ones little brown people use too.

With all that self-importance in one place, they’ll have to put a bucket over Clooney’s head so the sun will rise this morning.
