First time I have ever seen that “Aussie-looking hat cover” on an Army soldier. As an article of regulation clothing, it makes the *Black beret* look, at least, reasonable. Otherwise—–it looks like something from a movie set……

That’ll be the cav. And thankfully the black beret is dead.
“To all those out there doing their duty, thank you.
We’re counting on you to stand between us and
the forces of darkness and barbarism and despotism.”
COL Jerry: About that Aussie hat: the camo seems to be ours, but I can’t tell if they’re American soldiers (but what else could they be?).
And let’s not get started on the UN beret. (I remember a case some years back where a soldier got thrown out for not wearing the UN hat.)
But still, soldiers, Marines, sailors, airmen, coast guard – they’re all doing jobs we all know need doing, and are sure glad someone else is dong them.
