  1. He darn sure isn’t the real conservative he’s pretending to be, but if he’s how we gotta get the Muslim out, then I’ll put on my Haz-mat suit and vote for him.

We just gotta fill Congress with real conservative patriots who know what the Constitution is and what it means.

If not, then Romney will just be Obama-lite.

  2. Might be better than you think.

I’m *really* hoping he likes to fire people… especially federal bureaucrats political functionaries hired in the last four (or more) years.

By the way, there’s a hit piece on him out somewhere in the mainstream media that says he is influenced by his awful religious beliefs (which should be a source of horror for all right-thinking Americans):
    - he prays (gasp!) and,
    - he says publicly that he thinks God has a special plan for America (shriek!).

And so the Left fears him.

  3. By the way, anyone still expecting a “brokered convention?”

  5. I never really figured out how to cook brisket. Of course, I only tried oncet, but that was enough for me. Too stringy and too tough.

But I can cook a rib-eye steak that would make yer mouth fall off.

  6. You’ve obviously never had real Texas-style brisket.

Done right, it’s absolutely freakin’ delish.

And you know how snobbish I am about North Carolina bbq…

  7. I hereby state, for the record, that I’ve never had real Texas-style brisket. I’ve heard good things about it, but I guess I’ve never been in the right place at the right time [which would include several other things in my life, but there's no need to go into that right now].

I don’t know what Romney may bring, but it has to be better than a goddamned muslim [and I did NOT take the Lord's name in vain when I just said that... it was for a reason].

    There. I said it.

    So, who’s cooking the brisket?

  8. For Mom’s day I did a good job making a batch of thick country ribs. Got good reviews from everyone, so apparently I figured out the secret.

Gotta do it again for Dad’s Day and when I win the lottery, for the Kisp-b-que that will happen at the Southwest Campus.

  9. Prepared properly, BBQ brisket can be shredded with a fork and needs no sauce. It will be tender and moist and will have a grand smoked beef taste that sauce will only ruin.

Conservative Texans(me) are not happy or optimistic about Mitt Romney. However our revulsion of obama will have us out in force working against obama. The only questions of concern to me right now are who will be Romney’s running mate and are the Paulbots going to ally with us to defeat obama.

  11. Thank you, Colonel Jerry, SIR!

I will cook one of them this weekend and let you know how it turns out, SIR!

The neighbor lady has been bringing me soup, and this would be the perfect way to respond to her kindness. She checks on me every couple of days to make sure I’m not dead. Yet.
