  1. With Progs,
history is what it needs to be for their imaginary world to work.
Facts take a back seat when the whole dramatic scope of “social justice” is considered.

  6. DougM (1st place), I like what you said ’bout the Progs.

This porch is making me schmarter, by forcing me to look
up bazillions of wurds at both http://onelook.com/ &
http://www.urbandictionary.com/. The word I finally found for
Fauxcahontus’s tall tales is “braggadocio”. I’m sure the Cherokees
have an equivalent word in their language.

There will be a Kindle book out ’bout Fauxcahontus or
    ‘Perfesser Papoose’ in …3…..2…..1…

  8. mech (5), she’s ‘spoz to be a Cherokee squaw instead
of a wench. Then this whole saga has become very entertaining
watching a US senate candidate fall on their sword repeatedly.
Then this ongoing calamity gets better by the day! What I like
most is that it’s real & not some soap-opera or Follywood BS.

  9. Howard Zinn, anybody? People’s ‘History’ of America?

Zinn is on record as saying that you should just make-up history to meet the needs of Das Party.

So they do. But since Zinn is Matt Damon’s hero, it must be okay.

  11. Jess,

    And the doughnut tasted better!!

Is it me, or did we (back in the day), after hearing enough of the kind of buffoonery spouted by this wanna-be indian princess, just stop listening to her…shun her (at least in polite society), and be done with it.

Though taking that a logical step further, guess the same should be done to the asshat in the oval office.

  12. She’s committed and has no escape with honor, unless she admits she’s gained much from society with deceit. Even then, there’s not much to be gained, unless she’s decent and wants to be remembered as being courageous for admitting her mistake.

As far as being an elected official, she’s a fine example of what we call a politician.

Nowadays, we can’t do that lest it hurt somebody’s little feeeelings, and then they would go gather-up in New Jonestown™ and start drinking the hard stuff.

This is the (D) that would like to take away the senate seat that Scot Brown (R) won 2 years ago. It was Ted Kennedy’s senate seat. And although it of itself should be a source of pride for all (R)s Brown is an east coast republican, not quite as rino-like as Dukakis (R) and Collins (R) in Maine but…. BTW that is about to change too.

Gaining if not controlling the Senate is, as a ‘big picture/ end game, prolly more important than un-electing Obama.
And if I’m overstating that fact it ain’t by much.

BTW, this whole Warren vs Brown thing is in the hands of Massachusetts voters and left to their own devices they may not pull the (R) lever a second time.
Pounding this bitch in the media/blog sphere is important.

  34. ^The few republicans I still know in Massachusetts hope you’re right. Being on the ground there they don’t completely share your over-confidence.

And only one newspaper in Boston, the Boston Herald, is pushing this story. The Boston Globe much like the NYT tend to put this tale ‘below the fold’.

If the Commonwealth could re-elect a murderous, traitorous, two faced SOB like Ted Kennedy over and over again then a little injun lie …

  35. As an example:

(CNN) – Democrat Elizabeth Warren won her party’s nomination Saturday for a U.S. Senate seat out of Massachusetts, avoiding a primary and advancing directly to the November general election against incumbent Sen. Scott Brown.

No Senate candidate has ever avoided such a vote in Democratic Party history, the party election committee said, a feat which requires receiving the support of more than 85% of state party convention delegates.

    Comment by Lance — June 2, 2012 @ 8:31 pm

  37. Well, among other things, it appears she’s one of those 1% “foreclosure vultures” (my term, not hers) and hight interest lenders (to her own family, even) that she’s so fond of railing against as a dedicated Progressive / Democrat.

    http://bostonherald.com/news/politics/view.bg?articleid=1061136010

And she’s also not particularly talented at prevarication:

Warren, who is maintaining that she told Harvard and the University of Pennsylvania of her Native American status only after she was hired and that her minority status didn’t give her any advantages, was unable to answer the question of how she was listed as a Native American in 1992, when she was a visiting professor.
“I don’t know,” she said, when pressed by the Globe.
And asked why she said last month that she knew about Harvard listing her as a Native American only after the Boston Herald first broke the story, she responded, “I misunderstood the question.”

However, I’m sorry to say that I’m on the same page as Spin: hoping for the best, but fairly sure the good people of Massachusetts would vote for the stinking corps of Benedict Arnold, as long as it gave them the right Prog narrative.

    Comment by Ironic in Denver — June 2, 2012 @ 9:11 pm

  38. It’s not that I think she can’t be beat it’s just that she is, more or less, playing in her own sandbox. And it’s a very nasty and corrupt sandbox. I grew up there.

The voters in Massachusetts amazed a lot of folks when they elected Brown. And although he has been a typical moderate (normal for the NE corridor) he hasn’t brought any ‘largess’ to his constitutes. Remember he replace “The Big Dig” Ted. Certain expectations haven’t been met.

    The positive:
At the moment she is stumbling and the DNC is being forced to throw big money at this race. A race that was a ‘no brainier’ six months ago.

    The (potential) Negative:

This bitch and her handlers are backed in a corner but they do bite. Turning your back on them would be a mistake.
Plus the electorate have memories shorter than my dick.
