  5. Thinking of drinking from a stream makes me makes me think of Cryptosporidium, Giardia Lamblia, Schistosomiasis / Bilharzia, Meningitis,…
(Sorry. Had a bad experience once. Never again.)

  7. No problem. The EPA has taken over the stream and will ensure that it is dried up within 3 years.

  12. mojo, mech,

I like Avira; however, a while ago it found “boo/whistler” (a boot virus) which required a complete reformat. The only information I could find was in German from an Avira forum and I can’t read German – translator was no help.
I still have a piece of the virus in my free-standing 250gig hard drive (H-drive) that Avira scan finds every day.
There is a “fix” you can d/l to disk from Avira, but I don’t know what to do with it.
    Any ideas?

  13. Doug- Any way you can cut that waterfall so it’s pouring over Obama’s desk as he talks/leaks on the phone?

AV: I like Trend, personally. Good scanner, few false positives, frequent updates. Fairly cheap too.

For cleaning an infected system, I use VIPREscue deep scanner.
