I had to get a bigger calculator but here is what I came up with.
If I was married with 2 children and spent, and I say spent because that is just what someone we all know is spending even if it isn’t his money but ours, And I took just a casual look at my spending habit. Oh, lets say 1.3 trillion dollars (because we all know you can’t spend what you don’t have).
At Mitts rate I would owe the U.S. $72,800,000.00.
Would someone please check my math.I’m not sure I did that right.
I’m going to get another beer as my last one passed thru my nose and onto my calculator. And it got pissed!

I’m so sick of hearing that Romney (or ANY person with some wealth) has a lower tax rate than anyone else. He doesn’t. He pays the same income tax rate as everyone else, and the same capital gains tax rate as everyone else.
As the article you linked to points out, income taxes and capital gains taxes are apples and oranges. And whenever Obama or the dems try to pretend otherwise, it’s because they’re lying and hoping to get away with it. The slimebags.

So if I give 14 million dollars to charity it can lower my effective tax rate? I see nothing wrong with that.
