  1. The whole world has gotten itself into huge debts. Rather than face the music, the politicians are scratching for *ways* to tax revenue generators out of every fucking farthing—-to save their own incompetent asses!

Keep it up and we shall return to Middle Ages “BARTER” for transactions……

  2. Funny that they haven’t yet started encouraging children to rat out the parents… give it time.

  3. Cash and barter, damn little done in the realm of the electron. I deposit only enough into my bank to cover what few bills need paid ‘lectronically. The rest, I keep as cash-in-stash, and not in the gunsafe, either.

I’m going to eliminate a couple of the electronic payments (e.g; car insurance), by means of paying a year’s coverage in lump sum, cash.

No electronic trail, makes it damn hard to say what my “spending habits” are, and no, I don’t have any loyalty cards either. Except for the one at the liquor store, and I figure that ought to confuse Big Bruddah just a wee bit?

  4. They have loyalty cards for liquor stores? Well slap my ass and call me Betty!

  5. *slap*

I use a pal’s “petty payment for self-finking loyalty” card. Figure it confuses ‘em a tad…

  7. I disagree. The way to get rid of bad laws in a free society is to enforce them.

  8. I unnerstan’ that when Blighty went to a 50% tax on millionaires,
about 10K out of 16K left the country & cost their ‘treasury’ an
estimated 7 billion £ per annum! This latest brilliant scheme will
enable the establishment of another bureaucracy called the RCTR.
(Royal Catch The Rich). They’ll prolly have an ‘investigator’ for
each ‘wealthy’ family in the UK! Since this reporting scheme is all
based on ‘credit’ purchases & expenses, guess how long before
the ‘rich’ start using good ol’ cash! Also foreign purchases
& untraceable foreign payments! Maybe even smuggling again!

  9. ^ I used to be a smuggler. I could use the work. I have references. Unfortunately, they’re all dead.
