**That’s where the melody sounds like a guy playing a Steinway with his elbows – lots of crashing, discord and atonality. It’s my handle for supposedly intellectual music too cerebral to be understood by the hoi palloi, and comes from the same frauds that bring us most modern ‘architecture’ and ‘art’.

Mozart at the age of 11 probably wrote a better opera than this guy just did. Still, it might be interesting to hear this piece if only to learn which side Birman supports (“fine arts” musicians are a depressingly lib/prog bunch).
