… Cantor said … if the Senate or House fail to pass a budget in three months, members of Congress “will not be paid by the American people for failing to do their job. No budget, no pay. [translation - That'll show them we mean business.]IOW »
Big Fucking Deal.
Better call Marks & Harrison.

It’s not bad enough that Obama is the President for another 4 years but than we have to watch our only representatives crawling on their bellies like reptiles.

This nation is irretrievably lost.
I’m afraid PatrickP might be right. It seems that my body is giving-out at just the right time. I wish all you younger folk luck.
That would have been a great place for a Tea Party field trip. Surround it with overwhelming, and of course, polite numbers and a couple of individuals could go in and remind our elected employees what the Founding Fathers and we expect of them.
Then line the exit paths with sign and Flag carrying Members to remind them again as they leave their ivory tower vacation.
Come on GOP… raise the limit… you know deep down you want to. You know you are going to. Stop trying top pretend you are about limited government, it isn’t funny anymore. Only the truly stupid believe that GOP is about small government.
Republicans are red,
Democrats are blue,
gives a shit about you.
IIRC, slightly more than half the senators are millionaires, and probably the rest aren’t far behind them. Annual pay of $174K ($14.5K/month) is peanuts in that realm. And, you know any suspension of pay will be recompensed retroactively with a lump sum when/if they ever do pass a budget.
More sound and no fury from Boehner. Can we sue Ohio voters for re-electing him?
^ We should be suing Ohio voters for a lot of things, why pick just one?
One reason I will no longer follow the news in any detail is the spectacle of the Republican house. This disgrace is a new achievement even for them. Why don’t they just do harakiri* and get it over with? Oh yeah, just as self-serving, though more inept, than the Democrats, never mind.
In any case, I just can’t watch this anymore. It is a spectacle of ineptitude that is beyond historic.
* They have spent well over a decade disemboweling the nation, why not follow with themselves?
