  1. Another old guy who got his his history bass ackwards. After the Nazis consolidated their hold on power through the plebiscite, among the first things they did was establish gun control, making sure that all the guns were in the hands of the armed forces, the police, and the SA and SS thugs. And as for being “told off”, it took the allied forces of the US, the USSR, and Great Britain almost six years to eliminate the Nazi regime at great cost of blood and treasure – using guns! Mr. Bennett seems to have learned his history from Quentin Tarantino and Howard Zinn.

  2. ^^ And as Sondra so aptly put it, he’s old enought to know better. He was even involved in liberating a Nazi concentration camp, fer g-dsakes.

He is just another example of “That special kinda Stupid” that infects the Liberals in this country.

I was planning to drive up to Santa Ynez to see him in concert in about a month.

Eff Him. Where is Gary Sinise playing?

  5. WHHHHHH-A-A-A-A-TTT??!!

What friggin planet has he been livin on for the past century, facrissakes. The US perhaps more murders than several other nations, but it also has 300 million+ people. When the rate per 100,000 population is displayed in descending order, the US is near the bottom of the list at 4.2. Some have as high as 40 or more per hundred thousand. (See the first link).

As for homicides (no suicides included) by firearms, the US ranks something like 40th or so, and in some of the countries with similar or higher rates than ours, guns are either banned or strictly regulated.

It’s a sumbitch when ya cain’t read, Tony . . . you’re forced to get your information from people who have an advantage over your ignorance.

  6. And after first attempts at appeasement “telling off” the Nazis didn’t quite work, the disarmed Brits had to “borrow” guns from the “bad people” in the US to continue with the telling off. This still wasn’t quite enough, so the Brits et al eventually had to wait until some more of those bad people, from the US, w/ guns, could get “over there” to more resoundingly complete the “telling off” (complete with guns, did I mention we brought guns?).

  8. Later, that same day, Tony B`s agents realized the great singer had forgotten to take his meds when before a large crowd, the crooner`s most celebrated song came out as: “I left my brain in San Francisco——-”

  9. It’s not nice to publicize the foibles of the mentally ill or senile, especially if they hold press conferences.

Especially if the only thing they learned from “liberating Nazi death camps” was to be more like Nazis. (spit)

  12. Back when W Bush was in Office he complained that America lacked culture. Now that Obama is in Office the politically news driven topic about a “gun culture” has him worried. Well, blame F’n Obama!

  13. Nazis came over and created tragic things, and they had to be told off.
Sounds like an eight year old kid. He’s regressing badly.
Where did those Nazis come over to Germany from Toni?

  15. I saw Bennett’s rant.

But the Nazi’s took up all the guns THEN they started killing minorities. It was the STATE disarming the populace. And Germany’s problems go back to WW1 and the awful Versailles treaty.

And the first ones the Nazi’s disarmed? The ‘useful fools’ of the SD. Executed a thousand or so in the ‘night of the long knives’.

  16. You know, I just read the full article (I’d glanced at it earlier and missed the tail end of his quote.

Basically says if we don’t give up our right to self-defense and barrier against tyrannical government, “the rest of the world’s going to really take care of us, in a very bad way.”

So Bennet basically thinks we should be murdered by world government. Fuck you, Tony, you’re off your fucking rocker. Out of your fucking mind, and far more in common with Hitler than you’re capable of knowing.

    Sick bastard.

  17. Maybe he and Harry Belafonte could get together and compare notes.

COL Jerry: And maybe he also left his brain in San Francisco. (You beat me to that one. But it bears repeating.)

Paul (#14): That’s a useful bit of history to remember. It was one of the earliest (in recent history) examples of “throwing your opponents under the bus”.
