To the subject, it sure would be sweet if some MSM lemmings follow their Nixon smiting god and actually start asking pointed questions of Captain Bullshit.

  3. They also wanted the Dr.s speech at the prayer breakfast so they could see what he was going to speak about. He wouldn’t give it to them. Check it out it’s quit the story.

  5. So, even though Teh Carnie already admitted Obamber was to blame for any “pain” from the sequester, Teh Narrative is to paint the evil Republicans.

Woodward isn’t sticking with Teh Narrative, so the lapdogs spoojed with choom juice turn on him?

I think Woodward goes down. Our Republic was confirmed lost with the 2nd term election. Those of us with functioning brains are just killing time until all the Starbucks become handi houses and Brawndo spews from drinking fountains.

  9. Teh press has been co-opted by decades worth of bright-eyed young progs who just want to “Help make a difference in teh world.”

The Democrat party has been co-opted by the Socialists who found that regular Americans would not vote for their candidates when properly labeled.

Teh educational system has been co-opted by yet more bright shiny-eyed progs who want to help shape the future, by shaping young minds in their own image.

Teh Modern Culture has been co-opted by celebrating diversity (All hail diversity) to the point that segments of society whose contributions are violence, dependancy, lawlessness, weakness and depravity are normed and placed beyond criticism.

I have arrived at the conclusion that we are beyond the tipping point. The United States has always been spoken of as not just a nation, but an idea. The ideals have died in the body of the nation as a whole.

Pockets of America still exist. Somewhere this weekend, Americans will gather together and eat a pancake breakfast to raise money for the volunteer fire department. Others will order the garden seeds and check in on an elderly neighbor. Some will grab a 12 gauge from the corner by the back door and fill a jacket pocket with shells and walk fenceline for the last weekend of rabbit season. Some will gather to worship.

But for most; younger, more urban, immersed in popular culture, indoctrinated in progressive thought, America is just a nation, their nation, and it is one of many and no better than the others or even worse because we hold an undeserved primacy. For these americans, secure borders are a sign of selfishness, looming debt is not an issue but entitlement cuts would be a cataclysm. In these americans, there is no “idea of America”.

So, if America is an idea and that idea has been supplanted by the progressive movement, then America has died.

We few who know it stand here watching the body cool.

Nnnn, I think they’ll change their MO. The Clintons almost blew it by bein’ careless that way. I updated the post with my prediction … mainly ’cause I love that imagery from the movie.

    Brad ^
The real America has always had pockets of collectivism and non-traditionalamericanism. That’s fine, if the Federalist spirit prevails (hey, it’s a free country); but what we’ve been faced with, for over a century, is the nationalism of Progressivism (you know, euroweenieism).
Federalism ain’t dead, it’s bein’ ignored; and as you said, it’s close to bein’ forgotten (see: memory hole).

  11. Brad, you forgot one thing:

The progressives cut the nuts off the conservatives in Congress and now march through the streets with them in a big sack. It seems to me like only the conservative women have any guts.

The real motive in all this is to incite a violent response from those of us who can still think for ourselves.
