  2. I don’t think anyone will disagree with the statement that California is the nation’s top producer of nuts.

  9. This is similar to copper and other valuable metals being stripped from construction sites and expensive plants being stolen from new subdivisions in the middle of the night. This happens in SoCal.

  11. Asians? …as in the people who crashed hijacked planes into the WTC and Pentagon, blew up trains in Madrid, blew up nightclubs in Bali, blew up the entrance to the Jakarta Marriott, blew up subways in London, blew up an SUV in front of the Glasgow airport, and hundreds of other maiming and killing incidents? Good thing they can get themselves others’ pistachios and almonds.

BTW, the site looks OK here on IE 11 and Firefox 26.

  12. Interesting note on central valley nuts: CA environmental regulations have made the small dairy farmers close shop. Lots of family dairies being converted to nut orchards.

  13. Same on the farms, Abernathy Cranston III @9. Pumps disappearing overnight, wire, all sorts of metal equipment…

Also, logdogsmith @12, it is not sure the CA cattle industry will survive the drought — much less Brown’s Canals…

Apparently, the Powahs That Be believe people can eat Gloogle’s output.

  17. So are they going to have to microstamp nuts now?

Will it be a microbrand on each nut to confound nut rustlers?
