  1. Maybe one day, we’ll drown them in the waterways they “control.”

  2. How far gone we are when only a 2/3 vote of both houses of Congress can overturn an unelected bureaucrat’s whim.

    Another beautiful day in Utopistan.

  3. If you live in a metro area, these rules won’t have much economic impact.

If you live in a rural area, you can pretty much determine whether or not any development will take place.

There will be some, but after exhaustive and expensive mediation processes. If you’re big, it’s a cost of doing business. If’ you’re small, the cost is existential. But entrepreneurs are learning that we “didn’t build that” means we’re no longer free to follow our own path, without the approval of Big Brother.

You won’t build that. Not unless you make the appropriate contributions to the appropriate causes/people/party.

  8. b01921…great idea, I hope to live long enough to see some of this idiocy die.

Fawkes – too far, of course. We couldn’t expect 2/3s of both houses to agree on anything resembling “common” sense.

Oregon Guy – you got that right! Just as Ayn Rand observed…pay to play government, it’s the new growth industry.

“And the sweat of your brow” Perfect line, mech. Reminds me of ‘water, water everywhere but not a drop for you’

IinD, the AR-15 appropriately enough may be a fitting close to this latest example of tyrannical overreach but it’s gonna take a lot more than this incessant drip, drip, drip erosion of our rights and liberties. A lot more.

Great post, Claire, perfect title, perfect photo series

  10. I think my septic tank is exempt.
Depends on what watershed it’s in. Better shut up or your house might become a Superfund site.

I guy I know has a good sized cooking/catering business, and one year, while providing all the food for the state fair crowds, an econazi-feminazi from the state health dept showed up in his kitchen. He was just about to dump the water off a big stainless steel kettle full of potatoes he’d just washed for French fries. She stopped him and told he he could not dump the water out the door, because
“This is the Chesapeake Bay watershed and you’ll be polluting the bay.”
“Whaa… then what should I do with it?”
“You have to fill out a proper waste disposal form and take it with the waste water to an approved waste disposal facility.”
    …stupified pause….
“It’s water with some garden soil in it.”
“Fill out this form and you can take it to a disposal facility for proper disposal.”
…storm clouds gathering…. he drags her to the door, opens door..
“Look out there…what do you see?”
    “A state fair?”
“Right, and there are a thousand chickens, goats, sheep, hogs, horses and cows out there, and none of them are wearing diapers or using a flush toilet. They are all using the Chesapeake Bay watershed and aren’t filling out any forms. Get out of my kitchen.”
    “…..Don’t you dare dump….”
He waited a while and poured the water out the door.
    That was five years ago.
That McCarthy Ecobitch & Co. will have a commissar in every kitchen, bath and barn if we don’t slam the door on their fingers before they get all the way in.

DM@9 – not in Kleptofornia it ain’t. NC’ll take a little longer. maybe.

    IinD@10 – that was only a local crime story: now it’s a Federal Case…

  13. We have now achieved total Soviet Political Commissar Rule.

    Such a goal.

Image the scene when played out in a future Dr. Zhivago type movie set in our time and place. Horror.

  14. By the way, try building anything in the watershed in Connecticut. An absolute psycho time. Nothing goes into the watershed. Toilets? HA!. Pumpable toilet waste containers? HA!
They take the concept of controlling every molecule that could possibly enter the water cycle. I think they would be happy if all of the dirty people were gone. I am unsure if they want most of the outdoor pooping wild animals gone, but those are in their considerations in the environmental impact studies required.

Absolute control of yet another area is what they have deemed. They are Progressives. They “know” better. They “must” have control.

Another fine fix we have gotten ourselves into. Down the path of good intentions we have been led to where they desire to slaughter.

The country is F***ed unless we throw out all the liberals we can in 2016, regardless of party affiliation.
