  1. I’m thumbing through my copy of the Constitution… I can’t seem to find any mention of the Right to Have the Government Ban Fossil Fuels Retroactive to Fifty Years Ago.

Must’ve missed it. I’ll keep looking.

  2. “Kelsey Juliana was 15 when she, and 11-year-old Olivia Chernaik, filed a lawsuit against the governor of their state of Oregon, claiming that the state government had “violated their duties” to protect the water, land and atmosphere. The first judge said his court didn’t have jurisdiction to resolve the issue, but the Oregon Court of Appeals found merit in the case and told the lower court to try again.”

  4. Wait a minute. Hillary said that unborn babies have no rights. This says the future generations can sue. Can you have it both ways? Can we find out before the election. Curious.

  5. We all know that in the practice of their climate religion, they are pawns in the government/academia climate conspiracy money and power grab.
My statement is as factual as theirs in the “We all know” game.
    Fight fire with fire.

A couple weeks ago, I had a conversation with a twenty-something about to get her master’s degree and asked her about her thesis. She went on about how fossil fuels are “unfair” environmentally to the workers in the industry and the people who live near the extraction points. When I pointed out that some people traveled to those areas because there were jobs created in those industries, she shifted to how those people were sickened by the poisons spewed into the environment by those industries. She cited the Deepwater Horizon Gulf oil spill as a great disaster caused by the greedy oil companies. I noted that the last time I looked at that, drilling regs were not enforced by the responsible govt agency and Uhbama intentionally waited weeks to respond, exacerbating the problem, in order to enhance his anti-fossil energy policy.
She blew right by that and went back to the poisons spewing. I asked “What, for instance? Name one or two. She rose out of her seat, eyes bulging, chin jutted out and almost yelled “Haven’t you ever heard of C. O. 2.??!!”
I told her that I didn’t buy that and that without CO2 we all die, so what is the correct level? Then the fireworks really started.
She also told me cats kill more birds than wind turbines (when there are as many turbines as there are cats, we’ll see about that), and that we’ll figure out how to deal with no wind/no sun days. We couldn’t talk about the environmental disasters around mining sites in China where they extract lead, lithium and other heavy metals for the batteries needed to cope with that.
That’s the first time I’ve run up on an intelligent apostle of Gaia, and I do believe if she had the power, she’d arrest non-believers like me.

  6. “…their lawsuit, which alleges the government violated the constitutional rights of the next generation…”

So, we can’t “violate the constitutional rights of the next generation,” but it’s OK if we shift a couple trillion in tax burdens their way as a matter of government policy?

  7. If I were the lawyer for the defense, I would remind the court that the burden of proof lies with the plaintiffs, then lay out a list of the allegations they will need to prove.
Of course, big Guv would never do that. More likely they will simply use our $ to settle out of court.
