  1. What’s Cass Sunnstein gonna do, convince ISIS how great it is to have ham and eggs for breakfast?

  2. Not sure how an astronomer will help, so I’m gonna go out on a limb and agree with Claire that war-fighting is not the main goal, here. Besides being payback for political support, these boards are fraught with opportunities for corporate espionage and insider-advantage in DoD contracting. The politicians are prob’ly in there to schmooze with the “right people.”

Then again, might somethin’ good come of it. Never know.

Sayyy, whatever happened to that Hollywood imaginative-war-an’-spying’-plots board?

  3. My, my, what a D(Dem)iverse group.

  4. To formally digress into a fascist state you have to start somewhere right? I believe this is a good step toward that formalization.

An aside question, Does Hillary’s Logo remind you of the Muslim crescent moon and star symbol?

My tin foil hat is getting a little tight again.

  5. Really glad Admiral McRaven (Ret.), key former officer in the Special Forces community, is on the board.

Read his book, Spec Ops: Case Studies in Special Operations Warfare: Theory and Practice, back in 1995. Still highly recommend it. Eight great case studies: six from WW II, then Son Tay from Vietnam and the Entebbe operation of 4 July 1976.

You like military history? Read his book!

  6. Defense Innovation Advisory Board? New “advisory” ideas from leftist re: different strategies on how to surrender – overtly and/or covertly, while making us all feel good about it? Is that what these “innovative minds” are scheming?

  7. yeah… made me think of this dinner of Our Betters™ [tho I don't have the cc with the names attached] *bats eyelashes*

  8. ^(5) Speaking of Adm McRaven, this is worth watching if you haven’t seen it already.

  9. Not a f**king one is a man with any defense technology background.

If you don’t vote for Trump you enable the destruction of the republic.

Comment by Joe Bandmember ≠ Damn right I'm not equal to that — July 27, 2016 @ 5:48 pm

  10. Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.

(Aw, a fellow can dream, can’t he?)

    Comment by Jimmy don\'t play that — July 27, 2016 @ 6:54 pm

  11. I fail to see how voting for a Putin admirer who wants to pull out of NATO and the Geneva Convention staves off the destruction of the republic. But that’s just me.

  12. I think it’s kind of cute how some people are still actually trying to save the republic.

The country is going to hell, I’m just trying to make sure I have a few popsicles to pass around.

  13. The real implication is that our currently serving Servicemembers are too stupid to innovate on their own. Years of experience in their jobs (what works, and what doesn’t) is of no relevance.

Which is likely true, as their time is now consumed with SJW indoctrination.

  14. ^^11) Fawkes, so true, but I remember what was wisely said:

Vote Trump — he is easier to impeach!”

  15. ^8. LotF — good find! McRaven comes off well when speaking. Thanks for posting this link.

Here is a tribute to him when he won the OSS Society’s William J. Donovan Award in 2013:

The ending grates on the nerves when Obama shows up to praise McRaven — and himself (nothing new about that though — I hear he mentioned himself 119 times while praising Hillary last evening!).
