  1. Bake the danged cake, eh?

Much as I think an 18-yo should be able to buy a long gun if they can vote,
I hope this fails and takes all the bake-the-cake rulings down with it.
The “public accommodation” definition has gotten wayyy out of control.
Let businesses run their own business and make the FedGov mind its.
You know, as the Constitution says.

Then, he can go buy one from a real gun shop like any civilized kid.

    But, yeah, sic ‘em, tiger.
Make ‘em regret their choice of marketing VP and institutional wokiness.

  2. Not going anywhere. This is Oregon, dominated by eastern Democratics. Hell, the “governor” is from Minnesota! The squeaker of the House is from Connecticut. They just moved here to screw up our state like they did their own.

  3. Just move the voting age back up to 21. Or maybe 25.
Exceptions for members of the Armed Forces who get full rights and citizenship the moment they sign the DD Form 4. Subject to honorable service and discharge, of course. Dishonorable conduct loses the full rights and citizenship thing.

  4. Another good lawsuit
Dereliction of duty by a gov’t official should be a form of gross negligence. Any lawyers out there?

  5. 1^ DougM, I think I agree with your wish that he loses here. A win would just energize the gun control side to seek legislation that would accomplish the same thing : if Walmart can’t do it, by God Congress can.
On the other hand if he loses it could complicate the task of writing a decision For the gay couple in the wedding cake case, expected in June I believe. The court will have to explain why the public accommodation concept holds for gay couples but not for 20 year old gun buyers. Perhaps even just the existence of this case might have an influence on the wedding cake decision, though I imagine minds are already made up on that one. Still, expect an uptick in the consumption of White Out at the court.
And should he lose, as you said, he can just go to a regular gun shop and buy a dang. 22.
