  1. What a downer. He always looked so trim and fit, I thought he’d live forever, but pneumonia carried him away.

We started beating pneumonia, a great killer before WWII, with the penicillin family of drugs after the war, but our festering invasion from South of the Border is bringing lots of drug-resistant diseases back to us. Makes me wonder.

On the bright side, ever since his role in FMJ, it looked to me like Gunny had a pretty good life and got to play with lots of stuff we can only dream about. I’ll miss seeing him relish the experiences.

    Semper Fi, Gunny, and Godspeed.

  3. He left us at WAY to young an age.
I lived vicariously through him watching all the neat stuff he got to shoot.
Semper Fi Gunny, fair winds and following seas……

  4. *sigh*
Sometimes, I wish Gunny had addressed a joint session of Congress.
    Yeah, I’d'a enjoyed that.

  5. ^ Doug - I wish Gunny had addressed a joint session of Congress.
Me too, esp. if he had them braced in their underwear in a barracks.

We still have Mike Rowe. I’m sure he’s up to it.
