  1. I remember the good old days of 2009 through 2016 when these world leaders would ask the American President to go get them another cocktail or another chicken liver wrapped in bacon.

  2. A picture really does say a thousand words.
I see people have already started working on it

  3. Twitter Trolling meets real life. But the troll-ees really, really deserved it.

I don’t know whether to headdesk or laugh hysterically.

    I think I’ll do both.

  4. ^1 Obama hated America as much as, if not more than, everyone else around the table. So reducing America’s standing in the world was kind of his goal. Now, Bizarro Obama is using similar skills in the opposite direction to show America’s strength. Is this “good”? Um… I guess… at least in the short term.

  7. ^ Dangit!
I just added a PShop, and that almost works as a title.
I was goin’ with Dave’s theological theme, though.
Hey, A Christmas Carol, close enough.

  8. The look on Abe’s face is priceless. As in “WTF are you tools thinking? You think you can go toe-to-toe with this guy? Yeah, well good luck.”

And notice how Boy Justin isn’t even in the pic. Shows how relevant that mincing poof really is…

  9. ^ Yeah, it’s like reality is symbolic of reality.

  10. Trump offered to drop all tariffs and subsidies if the rest of the world would do the same. Game over. The liars are left scrambling for words and cover. No tariffs or subsidies is the definition of free trade/fair trade.

  11. Trump’s playing them like a fine tuned Stradivarius and the sweet lilting melody is going about 3 feet over their thick skulls.

  13. And Justin is the illegitimate spawn of Fidel who’s trying to live up to daddy’s reputation as an commie asshole. Too bad the little tyke can’t grow a man-beard.

  14. Trudeau is a weakling asshole, and we Canadians have been cheating you Yanks for years, but you’ve got a huge agricultural subsidy cheating problem too.

I suspect Trump is playing a double game, kicking us foreigners openly while kicking subsidy grubbing, rent seeking US agribusiness under the table.

Sneaky fucker, ain’t he? Good on him.

    Comment by Fred Z — June 10, 2018 @ 8:15 pm

  15. ^ Yeah, subsidies and tariffs are addictive.
It won’t be easy to get businesses and Congress off the stuff.
    I think you’re right about Trump’s long-game, here.
Be interesting to see how this plays out.

  17. ^ Ahhh, high praise, indeed. Thanks, Stilton.
Always nice to hear from an easily entertained master PShoptoonist.

  18. The comparison to the Rockwell painting is brilliant!

Fun fact: the German photo was no doubt intended portray Trump (and the US) as overwhelmingly outnumbered, but the US economy represents 46% of the G-7 economy, comparing GDPs, 2-3 times larger than any other member state. The idea that Germany, which represents only 10% of the overall G-7 economy, should dictate US policy, is ludicrous.

As an aside, a lot of the talking heads cannot figure out why Trump would propose Russia’s readmission to the G-7 (a new G-8). It’s really quite simple: it would not significantly change the US position; the US would still represent 44% of a new G-8. But for the other G-8 partners, especially the European ones, the fox would once again be let into the henhouse. Russia’s economy may be only the size of Italy’s, but it provides oil (heats homes and fuels cars) for much of Eastern Europe, and its military might is still overwhelming. Meanwhile, Germany can’t even float a submarine, and has almost no operable tanks. Which brings us back to Trump’s point: Western European economies have blossomed because the US has paid their defense budget since 1945. It’s past time for this crap to end.
