One idiot did. He was lucky - he only came back with a black eye. That was from fellow Americans who disapproved of the Viet Nam war. As for the Brits - I would insist that they go out in uniform. Full combat uniform, including loaded weapons. I doubt any of the muzzie cowards would mess with them then. They might have to go out in twos or threes in case somebody tried to run them down with a car. However, I doubt that the British government has the nerve to order anything like that. Scandanavians do not think or behave in the same way, and their society is not nearly as open to truly welcoming newcomers . . . despite what they say.
